Is Anthony Edwards moving on from KAT, or is he just prioritizing family over friendships?

“I definitely would love to be reunited,” Anthony Edwards said when a Knicks fan asked him to join the franchise, following in the footsteps of Karl-Anthony Towns. The exchange went viral after the Timberwolves Vs Knicks game, but when Towns actually had a reunion with one of his former running mates, Ant was nowhere to be found.

When the trade news became public, Edwards showed his emotions for KAT. So, it was obvious for fans to expect the gold medalist’s presence at the reunion. Not only that, the post-game meeting even included the other significant halves of the players. However, Ant-Man’s baby mama’s absence was also notable.

In her Instagram story, KAT’s girlfriend, Jordyn Woods, posted a snap of Towns and Edwards standing side-by-side during the game. A few moments later, she uploaded another story giving her 12 million IG followers a glimpse of how the couple spent their Sunday night. Alongside Woods and KAT were T’Wolves center Rudy Gobert and his girlfriend Julia Bonilla. Besides posing with their partners, Woods shared pictures of their classy footwear, her purple Channel bag, and a table full of colorful food with the caption, “What did we do!?!? More like what did they do,” tagging Julia. Looks like the double date went really well.

But surprisingly, there was no sign of Edwards and his girlfriend, who often joined the stars during their night outs and parties. The Ant-Man could be busy spending time with his new baby girl Aislynn and Mama Shannon. During an episode of the recent Netflix show, ‘Starting 5’, Shannon claimed that the 23-year-old is a devoted father, who loves taking care of his daughter. Or maybe Edwards is over KAT’s departure and is focusing on forming a bond with a new teammate.

Ardent basketball fans were eagerly waiting for the Knicks versus Timberwolves game to find out which side gained the most in their recent trade. Both the newcomers, Karl-Anthony Towns and Donte DiVincenzo, showed their true potential for their respective sides, contributing massive numbers to the scoreboard.

Anthony Edwards came out strong with a game-high 31 points but couldn’t save his team from losing 110-115. Despite the loss, the shooting guard highlighted a positive point. Following the game, when Edwards was asked how he felt playing with DiVincenzo, he responded, “F**kin’ incredible. I don’t need the ball. You see it. I’m having fun, man. It’s fun to play with Donte.”

What’s your perspective on:

Is Anthony Edwards moving on from KAT, or is he just prioritizing family over friendships?

Have an interesting take?

DiVincenzo impressed Edwards with his 15-3-7 stat line and support, which gave Ant more space to play freely. Even though they couldn’t beat the New York side, it could take a different shape in the regular season. Hopefully, for the Timberwolves fans, the newly formed bond will help the Timberwolves get the extra motivation in the postseason games that they lacked last season.
