NBA star player Anthony Davis created history during the recent Lakers vs Timberwolves clash. An unstoppable Davis along with delivering a decisive 120-109 points victory, also created history by becoming the first NBA athlete to secure 25+ points, 25+ rebounds, 5+ steals, and 5+ assists in a single game. While many fans did not realize it, Davis’s steals and blocks score during this matchup helped to add another milestone to his already impressive stats.
As per an X update by StatMuse, Anthony Davis’s recent game brought his total stat total of ’10 stock games’ to 14. ‘Stock’ in basketball is used to describe the total steals and blocks made by a player during the game. While many people would have applauded Davis’s feat, some of them couldn’t help but be amazed that Spurs player Victor Wembanyama’s name is amongst the top 3 on the list.

Given that the 18-year-old is currently playing his rookie season, it is impressive that he has already managed to clinch four ’10-stock games’ to his name. If the French player continues at this pace, then it wouldn’t take him more than 2-3 seasons to overpass Anthony Davis’s record. Where it took the Lakers player almost 11-12 years to achieve this feat, Wemby can manage to do it in a quarter of that period.

Wemby’s rookie season is not over till now. However, out of the 56 games in which he has played, he has managed to secure an average of 20.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists. Anthony Davis, who played 62 games during his rookie season, managed to secure only 13.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1 assist per game. From this, one can form the conclusion that Wembanyama is definitely leading on the offensive front.
Both the players rank evenly when it comes to steals. While Wembanyama has managed to average 1.3 steals till now, Davis had 1.2 steals during the 2012-13 NBA season. The same couldn’t have been said about their blocks, as Wembanyama’s average 3.4 to his name, while Davis only had 1.8.
