About seven years ago, the Lakers star visited Floyd Weather’s camp ahead of his fight with UFC icon Conor McGregor. After having some fan moments, one of the trainees at the camp asked how AD felt being a big Floyd fan. “That was amazing, man, you know. All the hard work you put in, or people don’t really see that you know. All the behind the scenes and stuff that you do to to get ready for fights, ” Anthony expressed the importance of the training after witnessing the dedication Floyd Mayweather displayed in the camp.

Moreover, it also fueled the center and power forward’s will. “It’s just motivational. You know make want go to the gym right now and start working, “ the 31-year-old confessed. Davis himself is a huge workout freak, as he was inspired to go to the gym post-interaction. Apparently, he has been hitting the gym since the age of 19, when he joined the Pelicans. Since then, he still continues to do bench presses, and lift some dumbells to enhance his performance on the court.

Nevertheless, the Lakers star has got a chance to walk alongside his icon years after confessing admiration for his training.

Reportedly per TMZ Sports, Wolves‘ Anthony Edwards and Anthony Davis will be part of Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s entourage ahead of the 47-year-old’s fight against John Gotti III. Notably, it is an official event as Mayweather retired in year 2017 from pro boxing. He ended his professional career on a perfect 50-0 stat record. However, to keep the money flow incoming and for the love of the sport, the veteran boxer can often be heard taking part in exhibition fights.

It is not his first time-fighting Gotti. Fate is repeating itself as last time in June 2023, a brawl broke out in the ring, and there was no result for the event. The settle the scores once and for all, Mayweather and Gotti will step in again to give their matchup a conclusion. Also, it is not the first time that stars like Anthony Davis and Anthony Edwards are going to walk Mayweather to the ring.
