These two requests have specific demands. Damian wants the Heat, Harden wants the Clippers. Lillard?s ask is understandable for a team that hasn?t made the Playoffs in a while. For Harden, matters are different. He played alongside the reigning MVP Joel Embiid and saw encouraging results.

Murmurs suggest that Harden?s divorce from the 76ers can trigger his departure too.

Joel Embiid?s comments cause a storm

Embiid just won the MVP award last season but his 76ers were thrown out by the Celtics in the East Semis. During an interview with Maverick Carter, Joel Embiid created a storm when he declared that he just wants to win a championship at this point, even if it is ?anywhere else?. This implies that he may not be thinking of a long-term with the 76ers. This urge is understandable.?

The Center came to the 76ers when it was one of the worst teams in the league. He made them a Playoffs team ?trusting the process?. While any team would love to have him, making adjustments upon his statements, which he later dubbed as ?trolling?, is risky. In this scenario, one squad may have taken his words seriously. The New York Knicks are hoping that the ?anywhere else? comments are for real and they have even prepared a trade offer.
