Jaylen Brown‘s beef with Nike doesn’t seem to end or take a break. After calling Nike out during Team USA’s scrimmages, Brown’s dislike of the brand was far from over. Things were already heated between the two after JB wasn’t selected as Kawhi‘s replacement, for which he blamed the sports apparel juggernaut. However, to call them out in one go, once and for all, in trendy style, the Finals MVP ironically dropped a diss track named ‘Just Do It’. Fans had solid mixed reactions, but moments later, Brown teased his haters on X.
“I’m having a great summer not gone lie,” Jaylen Brown wrote, probably with his legs kicked up somewhere on a hammock. And for the most part, he’s had a relaxing offseason after the best postseason performance of his career. Not only did he win a Championship but grabbed the Finals MVP trophy, deservedly. To top off the perfect summer, Brown has now released a full-fledged diss track along with A$AP Ferg. Despite all the hate in the comments section, he neglected all and settled his score with the haters in this tweet.

But, what exactly started this beef between the two? Well, it all started when Nike parted ways with Kyrie Irving in 2022. Surprisingly, Jaylen Brown was also a part of it. His reply to Nike regarding the Kai controversy initiated the beef, which would last till now.
However, even after this, he continued to rock Nikes, precisely the Kobes, however, without the swoosh. JB would rip the swoosh off of the Kobes before every game. At this point, it does seem that the Celt might consider going back to Adidas, who he had a deal with till 2021. Nevertheless, amid the series of events after the controversy ignited, Jay’s candidature for Team USA was also put into question.
Jaylen Brown believed that it was Nike who didn’t want him on the roster, as the brand was the contingent’s sponsor. However, Grant Hill revealed otherwise, as adding Derrick White in place of the injured Kawhi Leonard was simply to enforce another defensive backup for The Avengers. Now, fans might wonder, how long till this beef ends? Is this like a ‘Skip Bayless-LeBron James thing’, now?
Will Jaylen Brown still wear Kobes? Does Jayson Tatum get affected by this?
As of now, Brown does not have any endorsement deals under his name. While Jay can opt to rock any kicks of his choice, a return to Adidas wouldn’t hurt in the coming days. The Celt’s former contract with Adidas ended in 2021. Since then, he’s been exploring the many options on the table but hasn’t shown any interest in signing any endorsement deal. It will be interesting to see whether he reconsiders Nike’s global sporting rival or maybe follows in Kyrie’s footsteps and joins the Chinese sports brand, Anta.

Jaylen Brown's clap back at haters—Is he the most underrated player in the NBA right now?
Have an interesting take?
The upcoming season will feature a much hungrier Jaylen Brown who is ready to prove otherwise. Even after a loud run in the past postseason, the 27-year-old hasn’t received enough respect.
On the other hand, Jayson Tatum also didn’t have a happy time with Team USA after those DNP-CD nightmares. JT ’embarrassingly’ sat out two games in Paris, which, of course, he did not like, considering his rise to stardom. It is safe to say that this Celtics team, especially the scoring partners, will come with a lot of motivation to repeat the title run.
