The last few weeks in the life of Jimmy Butler have been frantic. Right upon returning from his injury, Shams Charania announced the Miami Heat opening up the trade market for the seasoned guard. The report itself created a ruckus. JB’s agent Bernard Lee publicly called out Charania, to put it in the most kindest way possible. The words that mattered from his loaded response gave some calmness to the Heat Nation. “World… all this is fabricated,” he wrote in his response to the trade rumors.
Surprisingly, Jimmy Butler hasn’t held back from talking about the news either. Such rumors don’t bother the Heat star as his only concerns are “being effective and helping my team win”. But in such times when the world closes in on him, one thing that Butler felt great about is his agent taking a firm stand against the rumors.
“I can change my hair to whatever color I want to. And there is no subliminals in my hair. I’ve been changing it a lot lately. Orange was the brightest color I had, so that’s what I went with,” Butler said after clinching a win against the Raptors. Well, this was in context to a new thread that’s recently being speculated about by the community. With the blondish-yellow, bright red, blue, and now orange hair coloring- is the guy trying to hint at his next NBA home?

Jimmy also transparently spoke about Bernie Lee’s response to Charania’s claims. “I f—–g love it… I’m all for it,” he told the media. As an agent, Lee felt it necessary to clear out his name since the claims suggested his direct involvement in encouraging a trade for Jimmy Butler. However, finding out his “brother” defended him gave the Heat starlet some comfort.

“I mean, before he’s my agent, I guess we’re like brothers now. We do everything together. But I feel for him and at least somebody is sticking up for me,” the 35-year-old gladly admitted.
However, even with the storm calming down, the situation still remains uncertain. The Miami Heat haven’t offered Jimmy Butler an extension. Furthermore, there have been no indications of it happening. But can it be a possibility?
Where do Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat stand?
Since Pat Riley’s public firing of his star player, it is perceived that their relationship is strained. With a player option next season, the initial reports suggested Butler wanted to play out his final season before making any decisions. But he has always held a special place for Miami in his heart. Among the positive factors of his loyalty to Vice City is his public admission- Butler doesn’t care about the money but rather about finally winning an NBA championship with the Miami Heat.

This season, the hoopster seems to have willingly taken a step back, giving the keys to ravishing guard Tyler Herro. Averaging his lowest output since joining the Heat, the fearless competitor has become a lot more selective with utilizing himself.
That has helped the Heat find its footing after an indecisive start to the season. Before Lee, even Erik Spoelstra spoke about the trade rumors. “It’s been our best, most consistent stretch of the season,” he told the media as they’ve now won eight of their last ten games!

In regard to Jimmy Butler, Coach Spo has always liked his unwavering mentality. The admiration teammates have for him is evident from the way they speak about Jimmy. What these things help gather is the possibility of a mutual truce between him and Riley.
With money not being his primary motivator, the two parties can land on a sum that is mutually agreed upon. Further, his influence on the Heat as a basketball team has proven to be inspiring, leading them to two NBA Finals. The only hurdle is Riley and Butler’s disgruntled bond. Can that be fixed? Because it really doesn’t look like that’s going to fix itself, so.
