Winning a championship in the NBA is no easy feat. The grind of an 82-game regular season coupled with the exhausting travel makes for a daunting affair. Therefore, when a team reaches the Playoffs, it requires a heart of steel to get to the promised land. Giannis Antetokounmpo has had a taste of the championship once and, of course, he draws inspiration from someone who has done it six times.
As he gets addicted to Zuckerberg’s new project Threads, he confers huge respect on USA’s own Michael Jordan.

Michael Jordan is known for his legendary quotes. One of his renowned quotes is, “I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed”
Giannis Antetokounmpo has embraced such a mentality too. He won the NBA title in 2021 and nabbed the MVP title. As a result of such values, his popularity has hit sky-high. When he arrived in China with his pro-baller brothers a few days ago, he saw swarms of fans coming in to either catch a glimpse or get near to him. This overwhelming reception showcases how much the NBA fandom has expanded in China.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo took to Instagram to share the lovely moment of all the brothers aboard a private jet on their way to China on Wednesday. Thanasis’ caption reads, “来自字母兄弟们的问候!”, literally translating to “Greetings from the letter brothers!”
Given the difficulty of pronouncing their last name, Chinese fans and media have affectionately named them the “letter brothers”. Taking this in a friendly spirit, Thanasis took to Instagram to agree to be called the nickname. Antetokounmpo says, “It’s cool. In China if people call me like that, it’s cool.”

The seven-foot-six-inches Center built a solid NBA career and if not for injuries, he could have won a title. Apart from that, Jeremy Lin’s Linsanity era in 2011 and 2012 was a landmark moment.
