LA Lakers superstar LeBron James spearheaded a new trend among NBA superstars by launching his SpringHill Company. James’s production company has produced three documentaries and four movies, including a box office hit, Space Jam: New Legacy, and Netflix’s movie Hustle. The company’s value soared to over $1 billion, and it was recently involved in a merger with Fulwell 73, which saw it raise over $40 million.

The Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo soon followed in James’s footsteps and joined a prestigious club of NBA stars who owned production houses like James, including Stephen CurryKevin Durant, and Sue Bird. Giannis’ production company is called Improbable Media, and earlier this year, their first project, ‘Giannis: The Marvelous Journey,’ launched on Prime Video.

Giannis Antetokounmpo partnered up with former NBA star to create Improbable Media

The Greek Freak’s story is an improbable one, and so is the story of his partner Jay Williams. He is a commentator on ESPN, an author, an entrepreneur, and a former Hooper who played for the Bulls before a motorcycle accident cut short his NBA career. The two have partnered up to create Improbable Media.

The company focuses on producing films and series based on Giannis and Jay’s tastes and experiences and provides services to other athletes, entertainers, and performers so that they can have more control over their stories and art. Williams has spent years watching and understanding what LeBron did with his company and others, such as KD.

Working with your endorsements, thinking through what those economics are, creation, production, and ideation for these companies was critical.” William’s vision goes beyond the court presence of Giannis; it showcases his identity.
