Artists in Los Angeles felt inclined to pay their condolences following Kobe Bryant’s unexpected death. One such artist, Art “Artoon” Gozukuchikyan, went to Ventura Boulevard in LA’s Studio City. He created a moving painting of Kobe in his Lakers jersey. It is as if frozen in time immediately after completing a jump shot, with his joyful daughter Gianna by his side. Another great artist, Jules Muck, worked for six hours to create a mural on the wall of Pickford Market on Washington Boulevard. It represents Kobe and Gianna?cheek to cheek in this artwork, and the touching inscription says, “Kobe & Gigi Forever.” “Daddy’s Little Girl.”

Mister Alek, an artist, contributed to the tributes by painting a monochrome image of Kobe Bryant. It contrasts sharply with the vivid yellow of the Lakers’ uniform and the deep purple background. Alek thanked the NBA star on Instagram, writing, “Thank you for the countless memories.” “Los Angeles would not be the same without you.” A similar homage has developed in Nashville, Tennessee, inspired by the outpouring of love and admiration for Kobe Bryant. This mural, situated at 1616 N. Broadway, honors Desmond Bane, a talented player and TCU alumni who now shines as a star for Tennessee’s home NBA franchise, the Memphis Grizzlies. The hand-painted mural is a lifelike depiction of Bane and stands an amazing 20 feet tall and 45 feet wide. Along with the amazing visuals comes a motivating remark from Bane himself: “No one achieves their dream alone“.

This creative gesture not only acknowledges Desmond Bane’s achievements but also emphasizes the sports world’s spirit of brotherhood and friendship. Bane’s success story reminds us that, like Kobe, sportsmen can inspire and motivate others on their path to greatness.
