During Saturday’s matchup at the Finserv Forum, Damian Lillard made a grand entrance with his two sons in tow to support him. True to form, he once again had an eventful night, ending it on a winning note. This win was huge for the Bucks, who have been on a downward spiral, winning only three of their last seven. The highlight of the game was the Bucks’ impressive fourth-quarter performance, where they shot a remarkable 70%, converting 19 of 27 attempts, and outscoring the Warriors 46-37.

Lillard scored 12 of his 27 points in the first quarter, which pushed the Bucks ahead of the Warriors. This early offensive burst showcased why they call him Dame Time.

The moniker “Dame Time” originated back when Lillard was just a high school player in Oakland, California. In 2006, his team, the Oakland Rebels, was navigating a 20-point deficit at halftime against rivals NorCal Magic. This is when Raymond Young, Lillard’s coach, posed a difficult question in front of him: “Can you even take over a game? Do you even know how to do that? The time is here. Can you get it done?” These words had a profound impact on 16-year-old Lillard, who then unleashed a barrage of driving lay-ins and pull-up jumpers.
