The most recent matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings had fans on the edge of their seats. A battle between the star point guards of both teams, Stephen Curry and De?Aaron Fox both had amazing nights, scoring a plethora of points. But Curry?s teammate Klay Thompson gave props to someone else on the Kings? squad, despite being amid contract extension drama.

The Sacramento Kings, even though they lost the game, did earn the respect of Klay Thompson. So much so that Thompson coined a couple of players as the ?Kings Big Three? while also giving flowers to the discovery of the 23-year-old gem of a player.

The Sacramento Kings lost with a final score of 122-114 to the Golden State Warriors. But it wasn?t until almost every player on the Kings? squad gave it their all to will their team to victory.

After the game, Klay Thompson sat down for a post-game press conference. That is when he said, ?I think he?ll be with the Kings for a long time. I mean, how is he 22? So yeah, he?s got star potential. Between him, Sabonis, and Fox, that?s a nice big three.?

?And Keegan can, he?s just one you can?t leave open. He?s a great shooter and the next step for him will be just being a complete scorer. I know that?s down the road for him but to be what he?s doing at his age is incredible.?

?So, good for him and good for Sacramento for discovering him.??

Murray was the fourth overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in the 2022 NBA draft. And he displayed shades of stardom right from the start.

A bright future for Murray in the league

Keegan Murray was an integral part of the Sacramento Kings squad right from the start. Murray played 80 games for the Kings last year where he started 78 of them. He averaged 12.2 PPG for his first year in the league.

What?s even more impressive is the fact that Murray averaged 45.3% from the field and 41.1% from beyond the arc last season. It is clear that Murray is a great shooter and will continue to get better as time goes.

Moreover, he will be a great option with Fox running the ball and Sabonis acquiring the paint. Hopefully, fans do get to see a big three form in Sacramento sometime in the future.
