“I wanted an arena that works for the true basketball fan”, said Ballmer about the Intuit Dome. “We saw an early option to do a crazy thing for a scoreboard and I was like okay….but what the hell. Our scoreboard’s an acre. We have an acre scoreboard. That’s 44,000 square feet” he revealed. Ballmer added, “The average big NBA scoreboard is 9000 square feet so we have a five times as much scoreboard as some of the biggest boards out there.”
Among other unique features of the Intuit Dome, the scoreboard is definitely one that stands out. Deep leg room, powered seats, and “The Wall” along with the gigantic scoreboard truly make the Clippers’ new home a unique experience. However, while the franchise has built a state-of-the-art masterpiece for its players, its two franchise players Kawhi and George may have landed in major trouble. How will the two superstars tackle NBA’s brand new policy slamming “load management”?

NBA’s new policy will now “Strengthen the resting policy rules and punishments for star players that include national TV games, in-season tournament games and sitting out multiple All-Stars together in regular season games“. This means that Leonard and George cannot sit out games together, citing “load management” or any other reasons. This rule applies to players who have made All-Star teams in the past 3 seasons. George and Leonard have both received All-Star selections in the past three years, with PG13 in fact, receiving the honor in all two of these years. Hence, this may seem like a matter of concern for both the Clippers superstars.
