“@kaicenat I’m coming for that ring tonight,” wrote Druski around a week ago on social media. The comedian’s remark wasn’t about any challenge or prank about stealing a ring the 23-year-old might possess. Rather, it was about sending a warning before the duo descended onto the Oracle Arena to face off during the 2025 Ruffles All-Star Celebrity Game. With Druski’s team coached by 3x Super Bowl champion Jerry Rice, and Cenat being instructed by San Francisco Giants legend Barry Bonds, the matchup may not have been the game of the century, but still fun to watch.

What was even more fun to watch was Druski’s reaction after losing the game’s MVP title to Rome Flynn! To be fair, there was more than a considerable difference in the scoring numbers between both players. However, the comedian still felt snubbed and didn’t shy away from revealing why.

Druski recently joined ‘Sportscenter’ to discuss his 4-point performance in the 2025 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Or rather, it should be called the ‘Flu Game’.

After all, the comedian revealed that, “I put up four points, and I felt snubbed of getting the MVP because I had the flu. And they didn’t understand, I wasn’t able to put up the stats I wanted to. I was going for like 23, 4, and 6, but I wasn’t able to fully put up those stats because of me getting the flu. I got sick in the middle of the game.” This caused the interviewer to hilariously reply, “It was almost like Jordan’s Flu Game, except he actually played well in his game.” As Sheldon Cooper would say, “Get the Neosporin. Somebody just got burned.”

The recent All-Star Celebrity Game marked an important milestone. After all, it marked the first NBA event to take place for the first time since the Toronto Raptors celebrated a championship in the summer of 2019. After that, the Warriors shifted to the Chase Center. The matchup remained competitive throughout the evening, but Kai Cenat’s Team Bonds eventually took home the win by a 66-55 score. After all, they had the advantage of having someone like Rome Flynn on the team.

Flynn was no more of a professional athlete than any other celebrity in the game. However, he has trained under Olin Simplis, who worked with Kevin Durant and Breanna Stewart. From a display of impressive basketball moves that covered a solid dribble game and a jumper to making a shot from 35 feet near the top of the key, Flynn kept the excitement going. All those moves, combined with the 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists he recorded, left no doubt in anyone’s mind about who the MVP should be. That is anyone but Druski.

If anything would make the 30-year-old comedian feel better, it is how Kai Cenat himself could not perform any better. Though his team won the game, the streamer himself scored only 4 points, 0 rebounds, and 0 assists. He went 2-6 with his field goals, and 0-3 with his three-pointers. However, Cenat did not hide behind any ‘flu’ excuse.

It was a shame that Druski could not get the better of his streaming partner. Especially after he had put the work in and expressed his confidence in the open.

A’ja Wilson sent Druski her praise after the comedian posted his workout routine

The All-Star Celebrity provided Druski the chance to shine on the NBA court, and he was willing to put in the ‘work’ to prove his worth. A week before the main matchup, the comedian highlighted himself practicing on the basketball court. From inside the paint to three-pointers, there was no shot he was missing.

His love for the other sportsmen was on full display, as Druski practiced while wearing Victor Wembanyama’s jersey, a pair of Devin Booker’s Nike shoes, and A’ja Wilson’s Aces Shorts. This even earned him praise from the WNBA legend. She featured his workout picture on her own Instagram story and wrote: “I spy @lvaces shorts”.

On the day of the game, the comedian seemed fully prepared. The same was seen when he met Kai Cenat at the tunnel. Even as the streamer said, “I’m telling you. Imma see you out there bro after you talk a lot of smack”, Druski seemed unfazed. In the end, neither of the two had a boasting platform to stand on.

Tragedy never strikes twice. Therefore, one can hope the flu does not catch up to Druski during next year’s All-Star game.
