The Denver Nuggets championship ring is finally out and the fans are not happy. Watching how each championship team creates unique, meaningful pieces of art will leave anyone who sees the design disappointed. Championship rings are not a new concept. It exists in other leagues like the NFL, MLB, etc.
The ring is not just a pretty piece of diamond-studded accessory. Rather, it is a tribute to the hard work and sacrifices every single person put in to reach a victorious end.

It is not a particularly difficult comparison. The Los Angeles Lakers‘ 2020 ring is valuable beyond numbers. Taking a look again at their ring is enough to bring tears to your eyes. What makes the ring priceless is the detachable top piece. It showcases a tribute to Kobe Bryant on the inside and a black snake on the side – a reference to his ‘Black Mamba’.
The ring has 804 stones and 17 purple amethysts on top of a 16.45-carat gold base. The 17 amethysts represent the franchise’s 17 titles. It’s no wonder the ring was said to be the one with the most diamonds ever seen in the league. What’s even more impressive is that the management gave a ring to everyone on the team. Seeing as how one ring costs $20,000, the players who played on the court alone are about 20. So, the total would come up to $400,000 worth of rings.
Moving on to the Denver Nuggets’ rings of 2023, NBA Buzz tweeted the first look of their design.

Seeing as how the NBA rings’s price range is $50,000 to $150,000, the Nuggets rings cost $30,000 more than the Lakers ring. Objectively, the Nuggets have a higher price point even if we take the lowest number. But the Lakers gave each player one, so that puts them on top. Unless the Nuggets decide to give one to every player, the Lakers win this round.

Aside from the design glitch of Denver, the opening night of the regular season is going to be epic. The four teams that are going to face off against each other are the Suns and Warriors. And of course, the Nuggets and Lakers.
Adding insult to injury will be the ring night. However we look at it, the championship ring is an expensive piece of jewelry and glimmering proof of your sweat and blood. LeBron James and co. watching Jokic don the accessory will be a reminder of how Denver swept them to move to the NBA Finals.

Another factor is the very obvious trash talks that erupted between the Nuggets coach and the Lakers. Will that and the bling be enough to push LA to the edge?
