Bradley Beal has been in the middle of the trade drama just as much as Jimmy Butler. With the Suns’ intentions to bring in the Heat star, it’s believed the veteran scorer is on the chopping block. And there’s a section of Phoenix fans who wouldn’t mind that. During a game against the Wizards game, one such fan kept heckling the veteran guard. However, he crossed the line, leading to Beal’s wife intervening.

Kamiah Adams-Beal argued with the fan before having them ejected. Later, she took to social media to share the traumatic experience she went through. The fan shouted, “Trade this bum a** b***h Beal for Jimmy Butler!'”. The comment hurt Bradley Beal’s kids, reducing them to tears, at which point Kamiah chose to retaliate.

Tonight, prior to facing the Los Angeles Clippers, Bradley Beal was asked about the incident. Not being on social media, the three-time All-Star admitted being oblivious to his wife’s comments. The one thing he was certain of was that not just his wife, but anyone of his loved ones would have reacted the same way.

“My wife was pretty calm about it, but then, when my son’s right there, she’s not going for none of that. It didn’t matter if it was her, my brother, my mom and dad, my best friend. Somebody was going to respond. I’m not even on social media, so I don’t know what she said,” Beal told reporters.

In hindsight, Kamiah Adams-Beal doesn’t mind the yelling. Having experienced such hostility in the past with her husband, she is aware of what to expect. What she couldn’t tolerate though is the discomfort their kids were put through. Hence, even though Bradley Beal suspects “she probably said some wild sh-t” he knows one thing.

“For the most part my family knows. They are my biggest support system. They know what to put out, what not to put out, and be respectful of the team and that nature,” said the Phoenix guard.

Even though Beal’s name swirls around the trade mills, the 31-year-old doesn’t pay attention.

Bradley Beal continues to show up for the Suns

With the Phoenix Suns, the seasoned guard has seen a major role change. At the beginning of the season, Bradley Beal was an unquestionable starter. Now, he comes off the bench despite being the third general in line.

For a celebrated player such as Beal, such treatment can draw a reaction. Additionally, with the Suns fans virtually asking him to leave, he has no reason to continue honoring his role within the team. But Beal continues to do so. Despite the heckling around the arena, he dropped 20 points against his former team, filling in for the injured Ryan Dunn.

Beal, an expert scorer, adjusted on the fly once it was needed off him to provide the team with heavy minutes. Furthermore, since moving to the second unit, the former Washington guard has not publicly lashed out. In fact, he has been a stellar contributor averaging 5 points on 41% three-point shooting.

While not a knock, on the other end of the spectrum, Jimmy Butler is suspended indefinitely for his conduct with the team.

No matter what, Bradley Beal doesn’t allow his professional commitments to be compromised. Rather, he has found a way to be impactful for the Suns while leading the second unit. His scoring acumen and instincts have been a positive for a Phoenix side that failed to gain consistency. Moreover, since bringing in Nick Richards, the team has begun to look complete and Beal is an integral part of it.

It makes you wonder. Could the Suns possibly give up their pursuit of Butler if Beal continues to perform well?
