When the offseason comes around, NBA stars do not limit their indulgence to basketball. Now, he decided to show love for football as well.
Th stars came out in Los Angeles as the World Cup winner, Lionel Messi made his way t0 the BMO Stadium to take on LAFC. Among the 39 strong list of A-List celebrities was James Harden as well. However, the Philadelphia 76ers guard has now hyped up a fellow Philadelphian in the $50.05M worth Philadelphia Eagles star.

Amid his dramatic trade saga, there is no certainty about how long James Harden will remain in Philadelphia. The Sixers guard has publicly stated his desire to “never play” for the franchise ever again, leading upto major consequences. However, this did not stop the 33-year-old to shout out his fellow Philadelphian, Eagles cornerback, Darius Slay.
The Philadelphia Eagles opened their season with a rematch of the Super Bowl LII against New England Patriots. Darius Slay went off in the very first game for the Eagles, making an extraordinary interception, followed by a pick six to put the Eagles up 10-0 in the first quarter. Harden seemed thoroughly impressed with this play as he took to X to share his appreciation for Slay.

“go crazy @bigplay24slay !” said Harden in his tweet, hailing the 32-year-old cornerback. To his credit, Slay’s brilliance was nothing short of remarkable.
Playing in the rain is always a difficult task for football stars. However, Slay took this as an opportunity. Mac Jones’ third-down pass for Kendrick Bourne sailed high. As Bourne failed to grab it, the Eagles cornerback snatched it and made a 70 yard dash past New England defenders into the end zone. This phenomenal play had The Beard impressed as well.
As Slay scored the first touchdown of the season for the Eagles, the team kicked off their season with a win. The game went closer than fans may have imagined but the Eagles held their nerves for a 25-20 win.

Slay’s brilliance did not go unnoticed as his fellow Philadelphian, James Harden showed love for his efforts. However, Harden has had several such awestruck moments this offseason. One of which came in LAFC’s home game against Inter Miami which brought Lionel Messi to Hollywood.

A 39-strong guest list of Hollywood A-Listers made their way to the BMO Stadium to watch Messi in action. One among them was James Harden. Much to the fans’ excitement, Messi played brilliantly throughout, leading his team to victory. However, a moment in the game had the whole crowd shellshocked.

Lionel Messi received a terrific pass from Diego Gomez for a perfect shot at the goal. The fans assumed the most anticipated moment of the evening had finally arrived. However, much to their surprise, a brilliant save from John McCarthy crushed their dreams. However, Inter Miami still pulled off a 3-1 victory, thanks to Messi’s veteran leadership.
