When it comes to 4-time champion Klay Thompson, things are no different. The Golden State Warriors guard has had a lot to celebrate this offseason.

‘Headband Klay’ has often embarked on diverse adventures during NBA off-seasons. Whether it is boating or golfing, he has always kept himself entertained. However, a frequent activity that the 33-year-old has engaged in is skateboarding. After a major deal involving the 8-time All-Star, Kyrie Irving grabbed Thompson’s attention, his skater friend’s new update has further excited the 5-time All-Star.

Klay Thompson has always stood out of the crowd in his career. The 4-time NBA champion has earned a reputation as a lights-out shooter from beyond the arc, possessing an extraordinary shot-making skill only few could match.

His abilities earned him five All-Star nods and two All-NBA selections as well. However, his success has not just been limited to his basketball accolades.

In 2014, Thompson signed with the Chinese company, ANTA, for his shoe deal. He then renegotiated his contract with the company in 2017, signing a whopping $80M deal that tied him to the company for 10 years.

In a market dominated by Nike, Thompson’s bold choice earned him tremendous success. However, 7 years after his major decision, he was joined by the Dallas Mavericks guard, Kyrie Irving.

After being ditched by Nike due to his controversies, Irving inked a staggering $126M deal with the $28.14 billion company. After this deal, Thompson put out an Instagram story, posing with his ANTA shoes. He captioned the story, “We really doing it big out here”.

Thompson evidently seemed thrilled about ANTA’s success. However, his offseason had more excitement in store. His skater friend, Ryan Sheckler, announced a major project, much to Klay’s excitement.

Thompson to feature in pal’s documentary?

Klay Thompson seemed elated about Irving’s shoe deal. However, his excitement did not stop there. His longtime friend and skateboarding partner, Ryan Sheckler, recently announced a documentary about his journey as a skateboarder. Interestingly, Thompson had a role to play in the project too.

Taking to Instagram again, Thompson shared a story of the upcoming documentary, showing his love for his friend. He captioned the story “can’t wait for this one“. It is reported that the Warriors guard was featured in the documentary, where he talked about his longtime friend’s journey.

Whether it was shoe deals or documentary features, Thompson has shown his excitement for his dear ones throughout the offseason. However, with the NBA action resuming shortly, Thompson will be seen suiting up for the Warriors again.
