The Chicago Bulls are having a dismal regular season. While their record stands at 5-11, their recent loss to Oklahoma City Thunder wasn’t positive either. Currently, they are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference. Despite that, Kevin Durant praised their point guard, Alex Caruso.

In a recent interview, Caruso talks about the improvement he has made over the years. The 29-year-old breaks down his transformation over the years and also talks about how he felt when KD noticed the improvements he made over the years.

In an interview with the Athletic by Darnell Mayberry, Caruso answers some pertinent questions. “You mentioned your improvement when Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns came to Chicago. You said you thought he?s noticed your improvement. What do you feel like has led to your improvement that we?ve seen from you just in the short time you?ve been in Chicago?” asked Mayberry.

“It?s been the same thing. And it?s funny you bring up the KD comment because when I did my exit interview with L.A. the summer before I signed here, (former Lakers coach) Frank Vogel was one of the ones that pointed it out to me. He (told me) I?m a learner,” said Caruso.

He further elaborated that he tries to a sponge when it comes to absorbing information on how to become a better basketball player. He feels that all one needs is the desire to improve and the platform to do so. While finding himself privileged do be able to do this he also wants to enjoy himself as this “doesn’t last forever.” It’s incredible that the Bulls’ point guard can keep such a level head in the midst of such a dismal campaign within a team whose core seems like it might get traded any minute now. Zach Levine seems destined to leave Chicago soon and his teammates have been badgered by the media on updates regarding the same.
