When questioned about their trash-talking tendencies, twin brothers Amen and Ausar didn’t hesitate to share their perspectives. Amen pointed out that Ausar is the more vocal one, always engaging in trash talk regardless of the game’s situation. Amen responded with no second thoughts. He simply said, “Ausar definitely talks the most trash. Yeah, he’s talking if you talk to him. If we’re down 5 and you start talking to him, he’s talking. I’ll talk just in case, just [to] let people know. Yeah, I don’t start talking out of nowhere.”

On the other hand, Amen admitted he only talks when necessary to support his brother or respond to opponents. The humorous exchange highlighted their different approaches to trash-talking. With Ausar playfully suggesting that he might resort to “sneaky stuff” on the court.

The host then asked Ausar, revealing what his brother had said in his absence. The player humorously replied, “It’s false, I don’t really talk. If I talk, it’s like I got his back. That’s the only time I talk if I see him talking.”?

“Okay, I do more sneaky stuff. Maybe that’s what he’s talking about,” Ausar added.

The other active twin brothers in the NBA

While Ausar and Amen Thompson are not the only twins in the league, they made history together upon selection in the 2023 NBA Draft. Something which wasn’t seen before, the duo became the first twin brothers to be selected in the top 5 pick in the draft.

Another active duo would be Caleb Martin – Cody Martin. While Charlotte Hornets drafted Cody in 2019, Caleb was undrafted into the same draft class. You might remember him from the Miami Heat‘s recent playoff run. His standout performance was in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics, where he averaged 19.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 35.6 minutes per game; and in direct contrast, shooting an impressive 60.2% overall and 48.9% from beyond the arc.
