The Dallas Mavericks went head-to-head against the first-ever In-Season Tournament Champions, the LA Lakers. Luka Doncic and co. went into the game shorthanded as their superstar, Kyrie Irving, is still recovering from an ankle injury. Uncle Drew suffered a major injury scare during the Mavs-Blazers game on Friday when Mavs Center Dwight Powell landed awkwardly on Kyrie’s right foot while going for a rebound.

Just two games after Kyrie’s injury scare, the Mavs suffered another crushing blow as another one of their guards left the Lakers game due to an injury.

Mavs guard Seth Curry left the game after playing just 12 minutes against LeBron James and co. It was later revealed that Curry would be out for the rest of the game due to left ankle soreness. Seth scored only 3 points and 2 rebounds before leaving the game. The severity of Seth’s injury is unknown, and it is uncertain when he will return to action. That is a massive blow for Dallas, as the Mavs are already shorthanded after Kyrie’s injury. Seth Curry is an elite shooter who has helped Dallas win many games this season.

Dallas is fortunate that Kyrie got away with just a right heel contusion after the scary incident during the Blazers game. Kyrie has been in elite form this season, averaging 23 points and 5.2 assists.

Dallas will miss the presence of their two guards, and the bench will have to step up their game until Kyrie and Seth return. However, Seth Curry’s injury did not stop Luka Doncic from taking down the Lakers.
