Stephen Curry and Anthony Edwards have been having a lot of fun with the USA table tennis team since the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics. It all started with Steph fueling a friendly competition between ANT and the table tennis team. This was followed by Edwards attending Lily Zhang‘s preliminary-round game, which set the tone for ANT’s possible matchup with Lily. However, this friendly matchup won’t be taking place anytime soon.

The table tennis team interacted with Steph and ANT ahead of their game against Puerto Rico. USAB has some of the most famous celebrity athletes on its roster. Naturally, there is going to be a lot of excitement among the young players from other sports to meet the NBA superstars.

The women’s table tennis roster met Steph and Edwards during their practice session ahead of the Puerto Rico game and they were all smiles. Zhang, Amy Wang, and Rachel Sung were among the table tennis players who finally witnessed the two guards on the court. It was quite a wholesome moment as Steph signed a few autographs for the team.

The table tennis team couldn’t make the case for a medal in the Paris Olympics. But, Steph and ANT have a lot to look forward to, as they prepare to take on the Puerto Ricans. Team USA will have quite a hectic schedule moving forward.

Fans, however, would love to see a friendly game between Anthony Edwards and Lily Zhang. The table tennis team is pretty confident that any of their players would beat ANT without letting him score a single point. Well, Edwards refuses to believe so. “I got some people talking about they’re going to beat me in ping pong 21-0. I don’t believe it. I’m not having it, I’m scoring one point,” said Edwards.

It will be an interesting matchup to watch if it ever takes place. But, Team USA will now get down to serious business from Tuesday onwards. However, before they step on the court for the Quarter-Finals, the squad has another birthday to celebrate.

Anthony Edwards will turn 23 this week

During the exhibition games, Bam Adebayo celebrated his 27th birthday, right when the squad arrived in London and now Anthony Edwards, the young superstar will be turning 23 on Monday, a day before the quarter-final round tips off. This is his first Olympic appearance and for it to coincide with his birthday is going to be memorable for ANT.

Anthony Edwards has been at the top of his game. The wolf has been quite productive playing alongside veterans and being the frontrunner of the second unit. It will be interesting to see if ANT finishes things off against Puerto Rico before Team USA heads to the Quarter-Final round.
