The Warriors faced their division rival the Phoenix Suns after their win against the Rockets on 20th November. However, the game didn’t go their way, as they lost 123-115 at the FootPrint Center. The Warriors felt the absence of their leader, Draymond Green, who is facing a five-game suspension for choking Rudy Gobert. The situation took a turn for the worse when Chris Paul was ejected by Scott Foster after only 17 minutes.

Paul received his first technical foul after arguing with Foster on a contentious foul call. But the situation escalated after Paul continued to voice his frustration, which led to a second technical and hence an ejection. After the game, CP3 suggested that a personal vendetta Foster had towards him influenced the decision. He said, “It’s personal. We had a situation some years ago, and it’s personal. The league knows, everybody knows. There’s been a meeting and all that.”

However, Foster explained his reasoning behind Paul’s ejection in a post-match interview. He said, “He continued to complain and received a second unsportsmanlike technical foul”. The two individuals share an acrimonious relationship, with CP3 having several run-ins with Foster in the past. This latest flare-up just showed the mutual dislike the two have for each other.
