One more ring! That’s all Stephen Curry needs to overtake LeBron James in championship count. Match Magic Johnson to back his “Best point guard ever” claim. And despite being 36 years old, Steph is still adamant on reaching that goal, “I know I only have a certain amount of years left and I wanna win desperately.” But the big question is: Can he do it wearing the Warriors’ uniform? Well, NBA legend Danny Green does not think so!
After Steph’s honest confession during his interview with Malika Andrews, Green revealed his thoughts about the possibility of the Warriors star winning another title, “Ultimately, the only way Steph gets his fifth ring is you probably gonna have to trade him. I don’t see him getting it in this window with Golden State.” Yes, the Warriors are desperately looking for another star to pair alongside Steph and boost their winning chances. However, Green does not have much faith in their effort, “I don’t think they’re gonna do it.”
Sure, the sharpshooter believes that Steph has nothing left to prove as he is already a four-time champion and a finals MVP. And he can happily ride out his career in the Bay Area with his recent $62.5 million extension that solidifies his future with the team until 2027. Despite that, Green emphasized, “But if he’s trying to get another ring, he’s going to have to do it somewhere else.” But where can he go?

According to the man who proposed the idea, “He’d have to team up with somebody that’s special, whether it’s (Nikola) Jokic or another big like Joel Embiid or Giannis. Well, they already got Dame… He needs that other star to win.” Obviously, teaming up with Giannis is highly unlikely because he has got a good thing going with Lillard in Milwaukee. And the Bucks are unlikely to break up that partnership so soon, especially after their recent Emirates NBA Cup victory. However, the Jokic or Embiid team up might just happen!

Superteam idea not far fetched as Stephen Curry claims the Warriors are “Trying” to figure things out
Well, the Warriors are struggling. They are currently ranked eighth in the West and moreover, seeking a star who can take over after Steph decides to hang his boots. Steph even said in his interview, “It’s just a matter of acknowledging like ‘Okay, me and Draymond aren’t in our prime.’ We’re in a situation where you have to kind of think about the game a little differently. But if you’re not winning, the answer is like ‘How do we make this happen?’… We’re trying to figure it out.”
Unfortunately, Mike Dunleavy has failed to attract big-name superstars because of his obsession to keep the young core intact. That’s why they reportedly missed out on acquiring Lauri Markkanen and Paul George. Meanwhile, the Nuggets are also looking for another star to pair alongside Jokic. There have even been talks about a possible Michael Porter Jr.-Jimmy Butler exchange. So, if the finances allow it and Steph is desperate to win another ring, joining forces with The Joker in Denver might not be a bad idea.

Well, Green’s idea to pair him with Embiid seems a bit more difficult because the Sixers just acquired PG. Moreover, Joel is having one of his worst seasons due to his lingering knee issues. Teaming up with him might be risky for Steph. Even Kendrick Perkins agreed that the Warriors need to go “big game hunting” for Steph to win another ring. But if they are unable to do it, The Baby-Faced Assassin might consider forming a Superteam somewhere else for one last shot at accomplishing his goal.
