Making a roaring comeback after injury, a German tennis star is creating quite a buzz in the sports world. After defeating the Dutch sensation Gijs Brouwer at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London, the young 26-year-old has managed to grab the attention of the Miami Heat star, Jimmy Butler.
The matchups of day 5 of Wimbledon continue to astonish fans around the world. One of which was this 6’6 player who took down Brouwer in the second round of his matchup.

Jimmy Butler gave shout-out to German Tennis star
Alexander Zverev’s amazing start to Wimbledon went so far as to draw the attention of the six-time All-Star Jimmy Butler. Butler has been an avid Tennis fan. He was even spotted at the Miami Open back in March along with Dallas Mavericks star, Luka Doncic.

Butler also has had a close personal relationship with the German Tennis star as well. So, the Heat star could not help but share one of Alexander Zverev’s posts on his IG stories.
Zverev’s post was about his great start to this year’s Wimbledon tournament. He captioned the image, “It was worth the wait ⏳ Off to a good start @wimbledon.” The German may have been referring to the time he spent off the court due to injury.

Back to form after grounded injury
The German tennis star had been out for the most part of last year after suffering an ankle injury against Rafael Nadal in the French Open. Zverev underwent surgery for a torn ligament but it looks like he is back in form now.

The 6’6 German star took down the Dutch sensation in the second round of their matchup in Wimbledon, teeing off on a dominant start. Zverev beat the Dutchman, 6-4 7-6 (4) 7-6 (5) on Court One.
