What seems like a small hump might turn out to be a daunting mountain for the Dubs to climb! The Golden State Warriors, who were off to a flying start, have started to attract a variety of problems lately. Firstly, they lost the promising guard, DeAnthony Melton, to a season-ending injury. Following that, the team had multiple issues related to Stephen Curry‘s minor injuries and controversies surrounding the 13-man rotation. Now, they have a BIG Draymond Green problem staring into their face.
A misstep in DrayMagic’s recovery could sideline him for at least 3 months! As per past instances, of course.
Your heart must be in your mouth if you were a Dubs fan. In the latest podcast episode of The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis, Green spoke about how he went through a dismaying situation two years ago. Guess what? At that time, the star took the wrong step and missed 3 months of action. In this season, after playing every game, the star was at the cusp of making a similar mistake.

Speaking of which, he said, “I’m a little afraid right now. I don’t need to ignore every symptom… Ignoring those symptoms, I know where they lead me. I don’t want them to lead me there. So, if I can catch a break now and miss a game or two or three, as opposed to missing 2 to 3 months, the smart thing to do is catch it right now.”
Ahead of the Nuggets NBA Cup challenge, the team listed the power forward in the Questionable category, citing a calf tightness. While it seemed like a usual injury, Baron Davis understood the gravity of the situation and asked the man himself for an update.
That’s when the 4x NBA Champ pulled out a story from 2022. He started by saying, “Interestingly enough, I played every game this year, which has kind of been a goal of mine. The goal ain’t to play like 82… I have been there long enough to know that throwing out these frivolous goals like I am playing 82 games. If it happens, it’s great.” Following that, Green proceeded to a story from the 2021-22 season, where his ignorance led to a costly mistake. Let’s find out more about it.

Draymond Green’s passion but carelessness cost him in 2022!
The veteran hoopster admitted that he wasn’t aware of his body like he is now. So, an ignorant step in the past forced Draymond to stay away from the court for three months. Before going into the scary story from the 2021-22 season, let’s hear another incident as a premise. In the same podcast, the Warriors’ floor general continued, “Being a guy who is part of a team that want 73 games. I remember chasing that 73 and I remember I played concussed and I ain’t telling nobody.”

Apparently, Draymond Green got “whacked” in the head while playing against Jazz‘s Joe Ingles and suffered a concussion. The vet added, “I was dizzy… We were really closing in on that 73 so I can’t miss a game going into concussion protocol. So, I ain’t telling nobody but I was f—-d up. I was concussed.”

Along the same lines, Draymond Green also ignored a glute tightness situation in the 2021-22 season and continued to play, unaware of the large impending problem it would fetch him. The injury was linked to his calf and forced him out for three months.
Fast forward to a few days ago, the former DPOY had sustained calf tightness and also admitted that the symptoms were matching. So, is the Warriors’ management going to take extra care of the big man this time and prevent a costly error? What do you think?
