No love left for Joel Embiid in the City of Brotherly Love? Philly fans have been Trusting the Process for several years, but it has not amounted to much. As expected, they are beginning to get frustrated, especially with Embiid’s constant injury concerns. It has been less than a week since he returned from a seven-game hiatus due to his lingering knee issues. And just when he was starting to find his groove, the former MVP suffered another setback during tonight’s Pacers’ clash.
Yes, Joel was forced to miss the entire second half after he took an accidental hit to the face from Bennedict Mathurin. Moreover, reports suggested that he would undergo further testing to assess the severity of the injury. Obviously, that could mean him missing more games.
And fans are not happy as one raging netizen wrote, “This is a fu*king joke.”

Well, the frustration is justified, especially because this setback comes merely days after Embiid revealed that dealing with his knee injury has been “extremely depressing.” Moreover, his teammate Paul George even gave him blunt advice to overcome his struggles.
“You have no choice. It’s a no-choice type of thing. Your love for the game allows you to be in that mindset to be better and you will figure it out. You will learn your body, you will learn how to adjust,” the oft-injured PG explained.
Obviously, George’s message came from his personal experience as he too has suffered a knee injury twice this season. Unfortunately, his advice did not do much to help Embiid, as he has left the fans disappointed once again.
NBA World urges “Fakest MVP” Joel Embiid to “RETIRE” after new setback
With Embiid out, the Sixers got blown out by the Pacers. Sure enough, many fans blamed the big man as comments like “Dudes cooked” and “Fakest MVP in league history” began flooding in. Well, many still believe Nikola Jokic deserved the MVP trophy that Joel won two seasons ago.

Moreover, one netizen even pointed out the comparison saying “And people said he’s better than Jokic LMAO.” Obviously, ‘Joker ‘ is a three-time MVP and has also led his team to a championship. Meanwhile, Embiid has never made it past the second round of the playoffs.
One raging netizen even urged Embiid to “retire” as he is hardly available to play games. He has never played seventy-plus games in a season in his entire career. Moreover, he has only played six games this year and could be out yet again due to the latest setback.
Shockerrrrr please retire dude….

And one fan even accused Embiid of “robbing” the Sixers with his recent $193 million extension.

While Joel’s talent is undeniable, it is of no use if he is unable to stay healthy and available for an entire season. Maybe, the former MVP needs to listen to PG’s advice more carefully and find a way to overcome his constant injury woes.
Latest: Joel Embiid has been diagnosed with sinus fracture; to be evaluated this weekend.
