Sixers reveal their stance on Joel Embiid trade rumors

A few days ago, Keith Pompey of Inquirer revealed the Knicks attempt to rope in Joel Embiid in this season. While it wasn’t only Embiid that the Knicks had their eyes on, as Pompey reported that the president Leon Rose had Embiid as , “No. 1 priority.” The rumor also included a luring package along with it. It included  three key players, with Julius Randle, R.J. Barrett, Evan Fournier, and Mitchell Robinson all available in exchange for Embiid. While the rumor stayed in the air, a recent report revealed 76ers stance on it.

According to New York Basketball, a media company, the Sixers are unmoved by the package. It further added that Ian Begley’s report revealed that Embiid’s commitment with the Sixers is intact.

The Harden-less Sixers definitely had struggled to keep up with the power duo, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. Embiid managed to drop only 24 points, along with Tyrese Maxey’s 31 points. The Freak Time duo dropped 23 and 39 points, registering a nail-biting 118-117 finish. Apart from that, Lillard marked the franchise record for most points scored in debut with 39 points. But the tides could turn for the Sixers, as a Bleacher article recently reported that the management requested Harden to stay in Philadelphia to amp up his training for upcoming games.
