Is 50 Cent's NBA 'record' a testament to his passion or just a celebrity gimmick?

50 Cent has a connection with Tyrese Haliburton‘s Indiana Pacers that is unknown to many. But what is 50 Cent’s NBA record? It’s 1-0. Feeling lost? Then let’s jog your memory to the 2024 NBA All-Star weekend’s Celebrity Game. 50 Cent was an assistant coach for NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe where his team beat team Stephen A. Smith 100-91. Now you might be saying, yeah but that’s not an actual NBA game. Don’t let that steer your attention away from the Rapper’s passion for the game.

That is well acknowledged by Tyrese as the two have formed a brotherly bond. So, after 50 Cent’s recent announcement, it was only natural for Haliburton to give the rapper a shout-out. Accompanied by three other women, a shirtless Haliburton said, “Fif, what’s up, brother? Wanted to congratulate you on your Vegas Residency. You’ve always shown love, so I wanna show love back. Appreciate you. Congratulations. That’s a big, big honor. It’s 4 in the morning. I just got back from the club, but I got Nick, sir. I so loved my guy. Congratulations, brother. Keep going.”

The rapper has signed up for the 50 Cent: In Da Club residency at PH Live inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, which will be hosted later this year. For this 50 Cent is scoring $15 million as the first show is an exclusive New Year’s Eve celebration presented by his own Sire Spirits brand. The dates for the 6 shows are Dec. 27, 28, 30, and 31, continuing to the next year on Jan. 3 and 4. Incidentally his Sire Spirits is one of the official partners of the Indiana Pacers (remember that connection mentioned above?). But that’s not the only reason for Hali’s good relationship with 50 Cent.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s company, Sire Spirits LLC, and his charity, The G-Unity Foundation, inked a multi-year deal with the Indiana Pacers in 2022. His spirits company is one of the official marketing partners of the franchise, which has strengthened the rapper’s bond with the sport. This explains his visits to the Pacers games, where he is often seen with Tyrese Haliburton at the courtside.

However, their connection is not limited to the court; it goes beyond that. The duo have also been spotted partying together. In one of the parties, the rapper was seen thanking Haliburton for always covering his parlays. This shows the kind of bond they share which blends business and personal interest.

With the NBA regular season just days away, 50 Cent can return the favor to Haliburton by showing his support in the Pacers games. And after last year’s deep playoff run for the Indiana side, a star-studded courtside is the least they can expect.
