A bizarre incident uprooted the golfing fraternity during the ongoing PGA championship. Blocked by traffic, the world’s number one golfer Scottie Scheffler sat in a courtesy car. These vehicles are allowed unrestricted access through traffic outside the golf course to avoid disruption on competition day. However, on this particular day, a reportedly fatal accident took place at the stretch outside the Valhalla.
Scheffler unaware of the proceedings tried to use his courtesy car powers and pass through the traffic block. The police tried to stop him, but confusion made matters worse. Just before entering Valhalla, the 10-time Major winner was detained by the Louisville Metro Police. The arrest took place at 5 a.m. early in the morning. Luckily, Scheffler was released from custody hours later and participated in the PGA Championship.
Naturally, the golfing fraternity could only talk about this event. A number of experts and even fellow golfers spoke in support of the phenom. Stephen Curry, an avid fan of the sport, however, didn’t bat an eye toward the morning controversy.

Stephen Curry is enjoying the Min Woo Lee master display
Stephen Curry is part of an exclusive NBA club, one that shares a common love for the sport of golf. He has had conversations with Michael Jordan over the sport. Curry also remains only the second basketball player to claim an ACC Championship. It’s no surprise he loves some good holes of golf. It’s even more invigorating for the Chef when the person is a member of his team.
Min Woo Lee, a former Australian PGA winner qualified for Round 3 of the PGA Championship at Valhalla, ending at T16. His highlight was undeniably his exquisite chip shot. Lee nailed not one, but three chip shots during the day. Each is somehow different and satisfying than the other.

The young and aspiring golf talent hasn’t had much success in Major tournaments thus far. He is yet to have a top-10 finish in either of the four tournaments. Lee’s most successful PGA championship outing was a T18 finish last year. Facing a drought, such moments do exceptionally for the confidence of an athlete.
In other matters, Lee is also part of Stephen Curry’s Bay Golf Club for Woods’ TGL. The indoor golf tournament initiated by one of the sports most wealthy accomplishers Tiger Woods is scheduled to begin in 2025. Lee, still in the hunt for a maiden Majors title is hopeful his trophy hiatus comes to a swift end in the near future. Additionally, he will also represent his idol on the golf course, who wouldn’t want that?
