From his dribbles and spectacular threes, Stephen Curry has inspired generations to be fearless and always ‘shoot their shot’. The four-time MVP has now used his resources and wide reach to do the same using his second love; golf. He recently announced his Undderated Golf Tour. As they planned to go around the USA and Europe, in his first stop, he had multiple legends grace the course.

Will Lowery, a host of Beyond the Fairway and the youngest female golfer to join the Ladies European Tour, Henni Koyack, was on the course. Steph also had his brother, another golf enthusiast, Seth, and Welsh soccer icon Gareth Bale was present too. Showcasing the monumental achievement of his golfing initiative, the sharpshooter wrote, “We’re worldwide! Incredible seeing @underratedgolf, which started as a handwritten idea on a piece of paper, head overseas for the first time. We’re just getting started!”

Stephen Curry thought of the Underrated Golf Tour because of the limited number of Black representatives in golf. There are only 2 Black golfers in the Top 100 worldwide golfers. The only one who flourished – Tiger Woods, a man of varied heritage. Curry seeks to provide young and overlooked golfers with specially curated programs along with the chance for networking and brand approaching.

The Splash Brother has already initiated four tournaments for 48 boys and girls each. This year, he is taking it global, starting with the Walton Heath Club in London. “We want to create a fun environment that kids can see themselves in, but we also want our kids to know how to handle themselves and be respected and welcomed wherever they go,” the Baby Face Assassin told Golf Digest.

Stephen Curry sees himself playing golf in the future

Stephen Curry, 36, still seems to be enjoying the prime of his career. Coming off averaging nearly 26 points per game for the Golden State Warriors, the 10-time All-Star is yet to show any signs of decline. However, considering the physical strains he is bound to suffer in every game, the NBA world probably has a few years of the Chef to relish.

What are his plans after?

He is looking to expand his love for golf by attempting to go pro and play in PGA tournaments! He revealed, “All I know is when I’m done with basketball, I’m going to reasonably invest as much into my golf as I can to see how good I can get, and where that puts me 14 years from now, we’ll see”.

Previously, Stephen Curry achieved an incredible feat, becoming the 3rd active athlete to claim the American Century Championship in mid-July last year. Since then, his reputation as a golfer itself has risen staggeringly. He has vowed to help the underrepresented community of golf!

Steph has a history of successful philanthropic endeavors, and the NBA’s all-time 3-point marksman never compromises his goal.
