American rap legend Snoop Dogg suggested a strict punishment for the heat pack incident. During the semi-final Game 2 clash between the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves, Jamal Murray got tangled in a controversy. The star point guard threw a heat pack and a towel from the bench into the court in frustration and got away with it initially. And the refs later read into the affair and the league slapped him with a $100k fine for the act.
However, Snoop Dogg doesn’t seem to be impressed with the decision. The rapper, featuring in The Stephen A. Smith Show, said, “The D Murray thing. I got to bring it up. Patrick Beverley throw a basketball they give him a foul game. He throw the towel then he throw the other thing which could have caused an injury. You gotta give him one game. $100K mean nothing to him, Man is making 50 million.” He scrapped the last two-minute report and argued that the league should have suspended him for a game.
Following the game, refs responded to the Jamal Murray controversy via pool report. Marc Davis, the chief ref, stated that the refs weren’t aware of the incident until they saw the object on the floor. He also said that Murray would receive a technical foul and not an ejection. While the NBA world exclaimed that the star evaded a possible $50k fine, the league followed it up with a $100k fine.

Moreover, Snoop Dogg highlighted the league’s contrasting decisions in a matter of a few days. During Game 6 between the Bucks and Pacers, Patrick Beverley aggressively threw a ball at a fan and it hit a fan’s head. Following the ugly act, the league slapped a four-game suspension for the now-free agent Beverley.
Apart from that, the loyal NBA fanboy also stressed that coach Mike Malone also should have been ejected for his heated argument with the refs.

Can the Nuggets save the series without Jamal Murray?
The Nuggets have already gone 2-0 down in the series, and playing without one of their top scorers will put them in serious trouble. Notably, Murray didn’t have a great semi-final series, struggling with an average of 11 points in the first two games. However, it was he who made all the difference in tonight’s explosive win.
The Nuggets gave the Wolves a taste of their own medicine. After back-to-back losses at home, including a blowout game, the Nuggets silenced the Minnesota crowd with a similar treatment. The defending champions maintained a 20+ lead throughout the game, making a strong statement in the series.

Nikola Jokic and Murray put up 48 points together to produce a 117-90 win. On the other hand, the Anthony Edwards factor didn’t make effect in Game 3. Ant-Man finished the game with 19 points, the lowest in the postseason so far. Apart from him, none of the other Wolves’ players crossed the 15-point mark.
The Nuggets have successfully ended the Wolves’ clean postseason run and set the stage for an exciting series ahead. Who do you think will win the series? Let us know in the comments.
