James Harden‘s trade saga continues to be a whirlwind. The Guard called the 76ers’ Head of Basketball Operations a liar all the way in China. He had filed for a trade, but the Philadelphia 76ers are not receiving adequate offers. The management insists that the scintillating guard plays. After a $ 100,000 fine for skipping media day, the disgruntled guard has to show up to practice. And if he wants to preserve his money, he will have to play for the team during the Regular Season. As his trade value dwindles dramatically, Harden shocks the NBA world with another simmering revelation.

He revealed he wanted to retire a 76ers. A hurt Harden further explains why his decision to do away with Philly stems from familial reasons too.

James Harden is looking out for his family

The Shooting Guard has left no stone unturned to tell the world that the 76ers organization betrayed him. While he has faced constant condemnation from NBA fans, analysts, and some players, his latest revelation can tilt the narrative in his favor. His wish to retire as a 76ers, gives the team’s fans a different perspective altogether. However, his trade value has remained abysmal. The Clippers apparently offered more for Jrue Holiday than Harden.

Despite these challenges, the Shooting Guard is firm. He has been in the league for more than a decade and a half. After amassing such experience, he has the tools to look after himself even in tenuous circumstances.

During the post-practice 76ers media session, he expressed, ”Just to the fans, man, I appreciate the support and love. This is definitely a difficult time. For me, it’s just trusting the people that you’ve known over a decade. When I got traded here, my whole thing was I wanted to retire a Sixer. I wanted to be here and retire a Sixer, and the front office didn’t have that in their plan.”.

Then the Guard expanded upon further reasons to leave a team with which he wanted to call his career.

Grind never stops

He continued, ”It’s really out of my control. It’s something that I didn’t want to happen, being in this position, but I’ve got to make a decision for my family. I understand this is a business. It’s just as simple as that. I come in here today, work my b*tt off and do the things necessary as a professional, as I’ve been doing for 15 years”.

Considering his immense experience and undying spirit, the Guard has been having extended workouts. He still wants to be on the top of the game. And he is! He was the leading assists-disher last season and remains a threatening scorer.
