Debunking myths about himself? Oh, that’s a talent LeBron James flaunts like the four MVP tags he owns. Pseudo movie buff? Nah! That’s in the past. For once, forget the time when the Akron Hammer couldn’t recall a scene or a dialogue from The Godfather. He has moved on from that phase. Hopping into the next one, the 40-year-old Lakers superstar and his wife, Savannah James, once again, showed up for their friends.
Only this time, Bron’s reporting from the exclusive screening of Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan’s highly anticipated period supernatural horror film Sinner. Set to release on Good Friday (April 18), this movie comes forth as a personal project for Coogler, who also directed Black Panther in 2018. Moreover, who can ever forget Chadwick Boseman, aka King T’Challa, the true Black Panther who left his mark on the lives of so many people?
Now, coming back to Sinner, LeBron James and Savannah James have a message for their fans. Most importantly, they are there for their friends Michael B. Jordan and Coogler. Meanwhile, Bron took to his X handle to tweet: “My brothers Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan did it again!!! ABSOLUTE INCREDIBLE FILM! Ryan, Thank you for allowing My Queen, I, family and friends to screen it. 10/10 movie! Make sure y’all go check out “SINNERS” tomorrow! It’s a MUST SEE!!!!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾”

It looks like James Sr. really enjoyed the movie. But most importantly, he won’t forget a scene or a dialogue this time (hopefully). And while the Chosen One took a quick break from the NBA’s heat amidst the Playoffs knocking at the door, he’s frightened one of the Warriors fans. Well, this fan is none other than Ryan Coogler himself!
LeBron James adds to Warriors fan Ryan Coogler’s nervousness
LeBron James couldn’t wear the Team Shaq All-Star team’s jersey this year. It looked like his 21st appearance was meant to be in casuals, away from the action. Why? His ankle and foot discomfort pushed him away from the interesting weekend in the Bay. However, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar’s injury report added to the worries of the Golden State Warriors fan, Ryan Coogler. Well, can you truly blame him? Isn’t everyone Bron’s superfan, no matter which team they support?

Meanwhile, Coogler and James’s conversation from February 17, right after the All-Star Weekend, has come to the public eye. In an endearing chat, the filmmaker wanted to know if LeBron was doing fine. He said, “I got nervous when I seen you wasn’t playing in the All-Star Game. I’m hoping it’s just a little maintenance.” To this, Bron replied, “It’s just a little precautionary s— for this last stretch run.” Last stretch of the ongoing season, just to be clear.

At the same time, Ryan Coogler had a complaint. Just days before the All-Star Weekend, the Lakers met the Warriors for a matchup which, of course, ended with the Dubs losing 112-120. So, Coogler said, “I’m getting tired of you beating up on my n—–.” But then LeBron had the perfect response ready, he replied, “It’s Draymond [Green]’s fault. Draymond’s always talking s—.” Well, the Lakers getting aggressive on the court is Green’s fault, then? Huh! Interesting!

So while Ryan Coogler is cheering for the Dubs, Bron is busy stealing the show on and off the court. From horror flick premieres to hilarious clapbacks, he is doing it all. And next time, Coogler watches Lakers versus Warriors, he might want to bring a stress ball. Or better yet, cast LeBron James in the sequel of Sinner.
