The Milwaukee Bucks have just nine games left before they wrap up the 2024-25 NBA regular season. The journey has been tumultuous, to say the least, but Doc Rivers’s boys thrived. They limped and fell in the initial days, hanging in the lower steps of the Eastern Conference. People threw questions and jabs at them, making Giannis Antetokounmpo their favorite target.
Had the Greek Freak decided to let the reins loose then, where would the Bucks be now? Giannis proved the haters wrong, took the NBA Cup home, secured a Finals MVP title, and now remains the third favorite candidate for the ongoing season’s MVP race. However, injuries have been a major nuisance for the 30-year-old forward recently. He had to miss the All-Star games with a lingering calf injury.
And now that Milwaukee is ready to host the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday, March 30, there is some slightly concerning news making the waves. Now, the question is, will Giannis Antetokounmpo play against Trae Young & Co. at Fiserv Forum? As of now, the team has listed the superstar 2x MVP power forward as day-to-day with a left foot sprain. However, Antetokounmpo is most likely to be on the floor, in his #34 jersey, trying his best to take down the Hawks.

Antetokounmpo’s availability brings smiles to Bucks fans, but the injury roster remains a concern. The team already misses Damian Lillard, and more names keep joining the list. The next phase of the league seems to be a tough road for Giannis & Co. Now, without further ado, let’s see Milwaukee’s injury report, and let’s also not miss the Atlanta Hawks here!
With Giannis Antetokounmpo back, who else remains on the injury list? A look at Milwaukee and Atlanta’s injury status
The Milwaukee Bucks face major setbacks, starting with Damian Lillard, sidelined by Deep Vein Thrombosis. Adding to the trouble, Bobby Portis serves a suspension for violating the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program after testing positive for Tramadol. Meanwhile, Jericho Sims remains out with a right thumb UCL sprain. As for AJ Green, his right AC joint sprain leaves his Sunday availability in doubt. Thus, their probable starting lineup looks like:
- Ryan Rollins (PG)
- Taurean Prince (SG)
- Kyle Kuzma (SF)
- Giannis Antetokounmpo (PF) (DD)
- Brook Lopez (C)

On the other hand, Atlanta’s injury report holds few surprises. Trae Young, battling right Achilles tendinitis, is probable. However, Larry Nance Jr. (knee) and Clint Capela (left-hand ligament injury) remain sidelined. Adding to the woes, Keaton Wallace is out with a shoulder injury. Meanwhile, Jalen Johnson’s torn labrum officially ended his season in January.
