Ahead of his son Bronny’s much-awaited USC debut, LeBron James batted for another USC freshman. Almost every loyal James’ fan would know how the superstar keeps track of the US sports world. Especially, he would never shy away from recognizing an upcoming talent. For instance, he even went to Stephen Curry’s NCAA games, acknowledging his talent. In that lineup, he gave a big shout out to a freshman-year rising star via social media.

The James family themselves have been waiting for over four months for Bronny’s debut in USC threads. The 19-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest during the 2023 offseason, which almost hinted at the end of his basketball career. However, the family recently announced positive update on Bronny’s health. In this happy moment, James took to celebrate the rise of another youngster.

LeBron James and his men took on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night, resulting in a disappointing loss. James dropped 21 points with 12 rebounds and 6 assists, in a struggling game keeping up with the steady Thunder offense.

Despite the loss on the court, King James had another important job off the court, paving the way for furture stars.

Following OKC loss, James took to his Instagram stories to praise Juju Watkins. He shared a post showcasing Watkins’ highlights in the collegiate league. Watkins has already created massive waves in the NCAA circuit with her all-round performance. On top of it, James wrote, “I don’t wanna just hear Freshman of the year! Talk National Player of the Year too! She’s the 1!!”

 

The IG post that showcased Watkins’ highlights captioned Watkins’ stats in the current season. She has averaged 26.8 PPG, 7.5 RPG, and 3.2 APG and she has already scored at least 30 points in four of her six games.

Apart from praising the rising stars, James dropped the hammer on the Lakers with another announcement.

King James leaves Lakers in misery

After the OKC game, James said that he would miss out on Lakers game to watch his son, Bronny’s USC debut, if necessary. He also added, “Family over everything.” Moreover, he didn’t stop there. Moments after he made the statement, he took to social media to establish it again. He shared an IG post on his statement and wrote, “And if you think differently we know where your priorities lie! FOE #JamesGang,” via IG stories.
