In a post-training press conference, Evan Fournier admitted he wanted to expand his role in the Knicks line-up. “To be honest?I might be dreaming?but to me, I can help the team,” said the 30-year-old. He further added, “I?m a good player. I can f****** play. I can bring stuff that this team doesn?t have, too. I have hope to play.?

Initially, Fournier played a pivotal role for the Knicks, starting 80 games, and averaging 14.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. However, his 2022-23 season took a different turn. He only started seven times and appeared off the bench 20 more times. The Knicks won 47 games without him as a key player.

Fournier intends to show relentless determination in practice. Meanwhile, making it tough for head coach Tom Thibodeau to make a decision. Despite him initially being sidelined. However, even just a few days ago, he felt like he was being kept “Hostage” by the Knicks.
Fournier Being Kept Hostage by the Knicks?

In an interview with a French radio station, the veteran guard said he felt like he was “held hostage” by the Knicks. Fournier will earn $18.8 million this season. His contract includes a club option for 2024-25, but the likelihood of the Knicks using it is very slim.
