In the post-game press conference, Dame addressed the media on debut with the Milwaukee Bucks. Fans have been eagerly waiting for this moment since they announced the trade. Although the Greek Freak and Lillard showed only a glimpse of their talents playing restricted minutes on the floor, it was enough to tear their way through the Laker’s defense.

While addressing the victory, the seven-time-all star is asked about the legacy of LeBron James. Dame’s stance was quite clear. “I think people will look back at that body of work over, you know. 20 years or however long it’s been, and when it’s over with, I think they’ll have more respect for it, you know,” said Lillard about LBJ’s legacy in the league.

He further added, “The guys who are in it like I am and the rest of us who do this job and got to put our bodies through it and got to deal with the pressure and have to perform and all of these things to go along with our personal lives, I think people like us respect it. But when it’s over with, I think you guys and people, fans that just have watched it happen, they’ll respect it more later.”

LeBron-less Lakers Lose to The Bucks Duo

The Lakers played without their superstar LeBron James, who intended to participate in only 3 out of 6 preseason games. In his 19 minutes on the court, AD led the Lakers with 16 points and received significant support from the bench. In response, Giannis scored 16 points in his 15-minute appearance, and Lillard contributed 14 points.

The duo’s performance ultimately secured a comfortable 97-108 victory for the Bucks. Both superstars from the new Bucks duo are evidently chasing the elusive NBA Ring. Evidently, their on-court performance was a testament to that.
