Shake Milton’s path to the NBA was like others. His journey began in Owasso, Oklahoma, and at Owasso High School, where his ability there proved that he was ready for the NBA. However, at SMU, his game blossomed. As a freshman, he was already averaging huge. 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game ensured him a spot on the AAC All-Rookie Team. Something big for a freshman. By his sophomore year, he had upped his stats to 13.0 points, 4.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, and was named to the AAC Second Team, proving he was one of the best young talents in college basketball. Unfortunately, an injury followed him. He broke his hand during his junior year cut his season short, but he still managed to impress with some games. This made him go to the next level.
His next level was the 2018 NBA Draft. As a result, he was selected as the 54th overall by the Dallas Mavericks. However, in a quick twist of fate, no one knew that a trade was following him. With a trade, he reached the Philadelphia 76ers, where it all began. He opted to sign a two-way contract where he reached their G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats. The hooper finally made his much-awaited debut.
