The eighth annual Curry Camp, a collaboration between Under Armour and Curry Brand, took place in San Francisco on August 4. This camp is an initiative through which he gives back to the sport he loves, basketball. At Curry Camp, the 4x NBA champion serves as a mentor and coach, mentoring the next generation of basketball superstars to success. The camp provides attendees with an unmatched opportunity to receive mentorship straight from Curry himself. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that aspiring players treasure.
Among the crowd of outstanding campers, one kid stood out like no other. While there were many potential young players eager to learn from the greatest at the camp, 16-year-old Cooper Flagg managed to capture Curry’s attention.
During the workout, Flagg dominated the floor with his explosive play. His basketball IQ, combined with his impeccable footwork sets him apart from his peers. The Golden State Warrior legend, stood by courtside, monitoring his every move.
Even though Cooper is ranked as the second-best player in the Class of 2025, he is widely regarded as the most promising NBA prospect across all of high school basketball. The 16-year-old stands at 6 feet 8 inches and weighs 200 pounds. Furthermore, as his performance from Curry’s camp shows, he is a force to be reckoned with on both ends of the court.
Flagg burst onto the scene by winning a state championship. He claimed the coveted title of Maine Gatorade Player of the Year during his freshman year at Nokomis Regional in Newport, Maine. And now, he’s even emerged victorious in a game against an NBA Star, impressing LeBron James.

Reports circulated that Cooper was outplaying Beal, resulting in an exciting clash of egos. According to sources, Cooper’s victory was accompanied by trash talk, laying the groundwork for a simmering rivalry. And LeBron James witnessed it all.
