Twitter spat between McGregor and Diaz

Conor McGregor is a cocky personality. But fans of the Irish fighter can’t get enough of the superstar’s witty comments.

McGregor last fought Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 on 11th July 2021. The Irish champion has since been on a hiatus from the Octagon. During this break from the fighting game, He’s pursuing his other major interest: acting in a Hollywood movie.

Conor McGregor is playing a supporting role in the Hollywood film, Roadhouse starring Jake Gyllenhaal and directed by Doug Liman.

The double-division champion posted about the movie recently. He tweeted saying “Stay out of my acting game I’ll smash your face in.” and mentioned Nate Diaz. (via SUN )

Diaz didn’t leave that tweet unanswered and replied, “Why are you acting like you can still fight. Actor.”

This tweet, deleted by McGregor, sparked interest in a potential third bout between the two superstars.

The history: Nate Diaz vs Conor McGregor

El Diablo and The Notorious fought each other twice in their career. The first fight between the titans of the UFC happened on March 6, 2016. This occurred because The Notorious replaced veteran fighter Rafael dos Anjos.

Diaz achieved super-stardom after handing McGregor the first loss of his professional career through submission in the second round of UFC 196. Following that, they fought again on the 21st of August in the same year. This time, McGregor clinched the victory in Round 5 after a heated battle between the two.

Nate Diaz recently stated he’s interested in going in the Octagon with McGregor for the third time. El Diablo said, “I would love to fight him for the third time.” “I’ve wanted to the whole time.” It looks like we might see them in the Octagon again, sometime in the future.
