It seems like Kevin Harvick has filled up his tank of inspiration to wrestle his way through the field to take the checkered flag at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Forgive the poor joke in the previous sentence, but this is because the Stewart Haas Racing driver recently attended a UFC event.

Harvick tweeted a picture of his view (a pretty good one) in the UFC 272 – Great fights so far #ufc272 appreciate the hospitality as always!”

The NASCAR driver also tagged Dana White in his tweet that suggests it was the UFC President who got him the seats he had at the event.

Kevin Harvick isn’t really counting on his finish in Fontana to carry to Vegas

In a recent interview with Speedway Digest, Kevin Harvick was asked whether his finish inside the top 10 in Southern California last weekend could turn out to be an indication of his expected performance in Vegas.

“I don’t think so,” he said.

“I think there’s just such a wide range of where it could be that you don’t really know. Is it a team thing? There’s still a very big possibility it could be a manufacturer thing, like we could be the manufacturer that’s head-over-heels better than the other manufacturers,” Harvick added.

“Or it could be the other way around, so there are just so many things that nobody knows about that will unfold because these racetracks are drastically different,” he continued. “You’re going to racetracks that really don’t have a lot in common other than you’re racing the same car.”

Kevin Harvick, who has won twice in Las Vegas, described the track as one that has “a lot of tire fall off.” That is the reason he believes cars need to be equipped with better handling there, especially when the driver is constantly in the hunt for the right grip.
