Revisiting the time when the Tennis Superstar, Serena Williams, was moved by the insane speed of NASCAR.

Back in 2007 when the reality show ‘Fast Cars and Superstars: The Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race’ began airing on ABC, the Tennis pro had the experience of riding alongside the NASCAR Cup Series driver, Kurt Busch at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in North Carolina.

After the enthralling experience, Williams was astonished by the speed at which the NASCAR drivers race.

At that time she said, “The fact that they’re driving 200 mph behind each other and there’s like two inches that separate them,” she said. “And then if, they just, you know — it’s crazy.”

After discovering the fact about the steering wheels being easily removed, Williams added, “I guess it’s the safest car on the road.”

In that interview, Serena Williams also talked about the car owning a BMW Z3 and a range of SUVs. She also stated, “I’m an SUV kind of girl.” After mentioning the type of cars she owns like a Cadillac truck and Range Rover Sport.

She specifically mentioned that she drives fast but later on added, “Not as fast as young Kurt.”

It’s up to everybody’s notice that the 23XI Racing driver Kurt Busch has been out of the racetrack since July. Due to his concussion-like symptoms, the 44-year-old driver also pulled his name out of the playoffs in the 2022 season.

Such proofs of Busch missing his final six regular season races have sparked quite some stir among the other NASCAR drivers. With Cup Series drivers such as Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick talking about the hits they faced in wrecks while racing at Daytona.

After the horrible multi-car crash at Daytona, the drivers are a bit concerned about the Next Gen cars and their safety parameters.
