In a recent podcast interview, NASCAR journalist Jeff Gluck raised concerns about the potential relocation of The Clash to a smaller venue compared to the Coliseum. “Bowman Gray versus the Coliseum, I don’t know; I mean, I don’t like that it’s not in a big market if you’re going to do that because I think you go back to when the clash started at the L.A. Coliseum and you’re like, wow, they have really discovered something here. They can now go to any big city that NASCAR’s not racing in and create a purpose-built track inside a stadium. Wow, this is unbelievable.” Gluck stated.

Gluck’s critique focuses on the impact of the Clash’s origins at the L.A. Coliseum, where the concept of creating a purpose-built track inside a stadium captured widespread attention.
