NFL and NASCAR are two of the biggest and most prominent sports in America. Luckily, the two worlds have just come together, as Chase Young spent some time in the paddock!

Washington Commanders’ Defensive Sensation visited the Richmond Raceway to spend time with the drivers. And ended up meeting Chase Elliott and Bubba Wallace. Obviously, he got pictures with the big prize for the winner, which Kevin Harvick clinched later that weekend.

Sunday Night Football on NBC posted photos of the Defensive Phenom spending time with the NASCAR drivers on Facebook.

But there’s more! Chase Young served as the Honorary Pace Car driver during the race at the Richmond Speedway.

Young might not be a seasoned NASCAR fan. But it seems the thrill of racing has gotten to him.

“Growing up, I didn’t really watch NASCAR,” Young told Richmond. “But getting that first time coming (in April), I just had to come again.”

Although, the 2020 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year is having fun outside of football, watching some racing. But the question surrounding his return to NFL is still the one many want the answer to.

When will Chase Young return?

After suffering a knee injury in 2021, the Defence prodigy has had to stay out of the sport to help recover. Unfortunately, there is still no word on his return. However, there’s some great news for fans of the player.

Chase Young said, “I’m squatting big weight, I’m running fast. I think I reached 18 miles per hour the other day. Running half-gassers, cutting, shuffling, so it’s on the right path.”
