After a thrilling night in NFL that saw the Kansas City Chiefs take the win over the Buffalo Bills in overtime, many fans voiced their disapproval of the NFL overtime rules. One of those fans was former NASCAR and current IndyCar driver Jimmie Johnson.

Johnson tweeted after the game, “I don’t agree with the OT rules… other than that, what a damn game!”

After the normal time, it was more or less a coin flip that decided the course of the game.

An epic game that saw a battle for the ages between the two quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen, somewhat suffered due to the final touchdown in the overtime because the Chiefs got the ball after the flip.

But then again, those who were criticizing the Chiefs should look no further than a couple of years ago when the same team that’s celebrating today, was on the other side at the hand of the Patriots, in a game decided in OT.

The Chiefs voiced their disapproval of the OT rules then as well, but we have a feeling they won’t be doing so after Sunday night.

Even Josh Allen, the QB of the Bills who did his bit in a game no NFL fan would forget in a hurry, said, “The rules are what they are and I can’t complain.”

“If it was the other way around, we’d be celebrating.”
