Quite recently, an old commercial featuring Dale Earnhardt Jr did the rounds on social media. This commercial combined two of America’s favorite past-times, NASCAR and American Football.
As it happens, NASCAR and the NFL have crossed over on several occasions in the past. This could be in commercials or with the respective athletes becoming spectators in the other’s sport.
This particular commercial was for a brand that used to be a title sponsor in the NASCAR arena. So when the old commercial popped up once again, the fans were taken down a trip to memory lane.

Even Dale Jr was excited about this blast from the past and shared the video clip on his Instagram story.
What was the Dale Earnhardt Jr commercial about?
In the clip, Dale Jr was spotted in the crowd at an NFL game. Then, the team’s coach fished out a NEXTEL walkie-talkie and informed the driver that he was entering the game. When he obeyed the instruction, the 2-time Daytona 500 winner did it in style.
He lined up on the field in his #8 Dale Earnhardt Inc car and was passed the ball.
Of course, the opposing team tried their level best to stop him. However, in a battle between horsepower and leg power, there was always going to be one winner. With players sprawled all over his car, Dale Jr coolly drove over to the end of the field and scored a touchdown. Fortunately, no NFL players were harmed in this stunt.
