Starting from 2003 and until his retirement in 2017, Dale Earnhardt Jr won the most popular driver award fifteen times in a row. The NASCAR Hall of Famer was undoubtedly the face of the sport for as long as he was active.

But even now, five years after his retirement, one shouldn’t underestimate his popularity. Just take a look at the state of his NFT collection or the lack of it.

Earnhardt Jr. recently collaborated with Autograph, a brand co-owned by NFL legend Tom Brady. And as part of this collaboration, Autograph, which sells NFT collectibles and art pieces, offered Dale Jr’s limited edition collection on DraftsKing, something which didn’t last long.

According to journalist Adam Stern, Autograph offered 2500 of the NASCAR legend’s ‘heritage cards’, each worth $30. And within 30 minutes, all the 2500 cards were sold out.

Tom Brady joins Dale Earnhardt Jr in retirement

Tom Brady, inarguably the greatest and the biggest name in the history of American football, recently hung up his boots after a few days of speculation concerning his future.

Reports emerged of the seven-time Super Bowl winner retiring after his team, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, lost to the Rams. But soon, conflicting reports emerged saying Brady isn’t done yet.

However, the former Patriots man announced that he is, indeed bidding farewell to the sport, leaving behind a legacy that no one may even come close to, let alone surpass.

And on Brady’s retirement, Dale Earnhardt Jr tweeted, “Often times it’s hard to face the reality that the greats will one day hang it up. Hell of a career. Will be interesting to see where his professional life goes from here.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr, four years after his retirement, was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, certifying his name as a legend. However, Tom Brady might have to wait a little longer for his Hall of Fame induction, because it will be another five years for the QB to become eligible.

Nevertheless, we all know who will headline the Pro Football’s Hall of Fame Class of 2027.
