Clint Bowyer, the Stewart-Haas Racing driver hasn’t won a race since the 2018 Firekeepers Casino 400 at Michigan. The driver is in the 14th position for the playoffs standings. With three races remaining in the regular season, Clint Bowyer has a comfortable lead of 66 points to secure a seat in the playoffs. As of now, Clint Bowyer has had a pretty average 2020 NASCAR season. He has only 6 top-10 finishes so far and only 2 top-5 finishes. His best result came during the 2020 Supermarket Heroes 500 at the bristol motor speedway where he finished 2nd.
Bowyer is in his fourth season with SHR. He drives the No. 14 Ford. Clint Bowyer signed the contract for 2020 with the group last October, however, his status for next season stays dubious.

SHR reports, “Yes we want to clinch a playoff spot as soon as possible, but we also want to go into the playoffs with some momentum,” he said.
“So I’m focusing on running well this weekend in Dover and making sure we are ready for the playoffs. We pay attention to the other guys around us in points, but the best way to get into the playoffs and have the success we want is to make sure we are running good.”
“Ever since I’ve been at SHR, we’ve seemed to have some really good cars at Dover,” Bowyer said.

“We’ve been so close to taking home that Miles The Monster trophy. I hope we are just as good this weekend. If we are, then we have as good of a chance as anyone. You’ve got to fight this ‘monster’ every lap. I won a couple of Xfinity races there – haven’t won a Cup race – but love this racetrack.”
Clint Bowyer and the Stewart-Haas Racing team are desperately looking for that one win to secure the spot in the playoffs. Even without a win, he can secure that spot as he has a comfortable lead of 66 points. Yet, the Kansas native wants to win a race either at the Dover Double-header or at the regular-season finale at the Daytona International Speedway oval.
