Driving in any form of motorsport is certainly not for the faint-hearted. These high-performing athletes have to be at the zenith of their physical agility. And not to forget, NASCAR drivers lose up to 5 pounds of their weight through the course of a race. So in order to maintain their physical prowess they at times take a plunge in ice water. This not only takes bodily skills but a certain amount of mental capabilities. This was clearly evident in Dale Earnhardt Jr‘s recent podcast episode.
Recently, Dale Jr had accompanied his wife Amy Earnhardt to a cryotherapy class. The result was not what anyone would have expected. In his podcast, he revealed his experience with the recent venture.

While talking to his co-host Mike Davis, the 48-year-old revealed that “Great experience with my wife at cryotherapy, ice bath and all” The driver goes on to recount one of the classes called core. “Basically it does from the knees to the shoulders. They work on everything for an hour. They have a hot yoga.” Dale Jr also disclosed that “I have never done yoga.”
However, the main challenge of this core yoga according to Dale was, “They do these hot yogas at 104 degrees or whatever in the room. I don’t what it is.” The two-time Xfinity race champion was skeptical about the physical endeavor that he was journeying into, as he said, “They lock the door. When the class starts, doors are locked. You don’t come in late.”
To this Mike, his co-host retorts, “I would liking this to a hostage situation.” Furthermore, Dale Jr explains, “I have promised to go do this. Apparently, I think I made a mistake.”
Moreover, his indecisiveness was clearly evident in his voice. “So I am sitting there going, initially, I was hoping we are locked out. No don’t do that. The conflict. No don’t get hope that you are not gonna do this because when you get there and get to go in, then I would have wasted the entire drive not wrapping my brain around the idea that I’m doing this damn thing.”
“So don’t hope that this ain’t gonna happen. Because when you have to do and do it without your mind wrapped around it, you are really scr*wed.”

Hamlin mentioned, “I have a cold plunge. I’ve learned in my older age that it certainly helps with inflammation and so anytime I do something pretty active, whether it be golf or basketball, or anything that I feel like it’s pretty strenuous. I’ll get in there afterward to kind of kill all the inflammation.”
“It’s certainly between that and the dopamine that you get from it. It’s pretty legit,” he continued.
