The past week has been quite eventful in the racing front of NASCAR. There have been numerous on-track incidents which had caught the attention of the audience and were also the talk of the town. Whether it was the Cup Series race at Richmond or the SRX Series racing in the tracks of Pulaski, the controversies and speculations are yet to simmer down.

Moreover, it seems that the SRX Racing is ready to make the new developments within the roster of drivers after it dished out a stringent punishment to Paul Tracy, after wreaking havoc on the tracks on numerous occasions. Owing to this fact, it seems that a NASCAR insider has alerted Hailie Deegan to be on the lookout for the next race of the series.

The incident at Pulaski has surely drawn flak from the veterans of the series and the audiences alike. The person in question being Paul Tracy, who had tried to outlast Josef Newman at lap 90, however, it backfired for Tracy. The IndyCar driver turned himself and slammed the outside wall before sliding back on the track. In the process, Tracy collected other drivers including Hailie Deegan and Ken Schrader. Both Schrader and Tracy’s cars were mangled and were beyond repairs.

As a result, Tracy was suspended from the series without a specific time period. However, with the driver who was competing full-time being suspended, the question was who shall replace Tracy. While there have been numerous names that have arisen, it seems that Hailie Deegan seemed to have quite a few names as she revealed when asked by the hosts on the latest episode of Rubbin is Racin.

She expressed, “I mean I haven’t really thought about it. I know back in the past that they used to have the local guy come out which that’s like the local guys are good at their local level, like they are hard to beat. They know the track in and out and we go to all these tracks as new people to them and have to learn it within a couple of laps of practice, riding these heat races.”

“Whereas the local guys have so many laps on them. I mean it was cool to have the local guys around, I wouldn’t mind bringing them back because of the cool perspective of it and giving people opportunities but I would say bringing in like a big-name dirt guy would be cool,” Deegan added.

After listening to Deegan, Large retorted, “Johnny Benson Jr who has been around the NASCAR scene and is from Grand Rapids Michigan, he fits the bill and he is obviously going to be sitting in the car this week so you are f*cked, he’s pretty good.”
